Editorial policy
Who writes the content on this site, what we base it on, what we refuse to publish, and how to ask us to correct something.
Who writes this
Everything on this site is written and published by Moni Happy — the brand itself, trading as メフール Co., Ltd., with offices in Tokyo (Ueno) and Fujian.
We do not publish under invented author profiles. If an article carries a byline, that byline is Moni Happy. We previously used role labels such as "Industry Analyst" or "Market Research" and one name that was not a real person. Those were removed in October 2026 because they misrepresented who was writing. If you find one anywhere on the site, tell us and we will remove it.
What we base our content on
We write from two kinds of source, and we try to be clear about which is which:
- Our own product facts. Specifications, pack and carton configuration, size and weight ranges, materials, and the certifications our products actually hold. These come from our own published product data, and we are accountable for them.
- Publicly verifiable information. Regulatory processes, import documentation requirements, the existence and structure of retail channels and named chains, and how distribution economics work in principle. These are things you can check independently.
Where we describe how something works — how a landed cost calculation is built, how territory and exclusivity are typically agreed, what determines a size mix — we are describing method, not quoting a market price.
What we refuse to publish
These are not preferences; they are rules we hold ourselves to, and in October 2026 we audited and removed content that broke them.
- Statistics we cannot source. We do not publish market sizes, growth rates (CAGR or otherwise), or margin percentages unless we can point to where the figure came from. Earlier versions of this site did, and those claims have been removed.
- Attribution to research firms we did not use. We do not cite a named research organisation unless we have actually drawn on its published work. Invented citations to named firms have been removed.
- Invented research or interviews. We do not claim to have surveyed distributors, retailers or customers unless we did.
- Fabricated review or oversight claims. We do not claim that an article was "reviewed by" a team or a named expert unless that review actually happened.
- Paid placements presented as editorial. If we ever publish sponsored or partner-supplied content, it will be labelled as such.
Why we withhold some numbers
You will notice that our MOQ, territory and pricing pages state method and variables rather than figures, and that market-analysis articles say we do not quote a market size. That is deliberate.
A minimum order quantity, a unit price, a margin and a landed cost all depend on your market, your channel, your configuration and your order size. A number published for an average reader would be wrong for you, and publishing one would be the same mistake as the statistics we removed — just in a friendlier form.
What we will do instead: ask us for the four figures that decide whether a market works (landed cost per unit, minimum order quantity, payment terms, freight responsibility), and we will send them for your market rather than for an imaginary average one.
Sourcing, dates and updates
Each article shows its publication date. When we materially revise an article we update that date; we do not silently rewrite published content and leave the old date in place.
Where an article describes a regulatory or logistics process, that process can change. We treat those statements as a starting point for your own local confirmation — usually with your customs broker or a local agent — not as a substitute for it.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, we want to know, and we will correct it. Please contact us with the page address and what you believe is incorrect. If we agree, we will fix the page and tell you when it is done. If we do not agree, we will tell you why — a sourced explanation rather than silence.
We would rather be corrected than be trusted on something we got wrong.
